6 Things to Do for Valentine’s Day๐Ÿ’—

One of my favorite holidays is just around the corner – Valentine’s Day๐Ÿ’—! It’s not only the day filled with #love, but the month of pink, red, and stuffed bears๐Ÿงธ everywhere you look!! Over the year’s social media has changed how millions of us view Valentine’s Day for the better. Us girlies get together for Galantine’s Day, and some of us dedicate this day to the ultimate self-love and care routine of the whole year. Deciding what to do with your partner or loved ones can feel hectic or you’re just unsure what you wanna do! I’ve broken down 6 things to do that would make this Valentine’s Day unforgettable.

Side note, but related, this year I woke up and decided that I was obsessed with the color blush. I don’t know why, but I’m not mad about it. Everything getting ordered to the house is a pretty #rose or #blush color.๐ŸŒธ Seeing pink everywhere has made me so happy! What’s your color this year?!

Valentine’s Day Ideas:

  1. Galantine’s Day Party.๐Ÿชฉ Um, yes. Girls love to celebrate anything. Even if you’re not super into pink, or Valentine’s Day, use this day as an excuse to get your closest friends together and enjoy some time together. Throw a party at the house with some wine, dinner, and cute polaroid’s. Or, make a reservation at a cute restaurant someone has been wanting to try for a while.
  2. A romantic dinner.๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Where are my couples?!๐Ÿ’‹ How busy are we throughout the year, and we go down the street for dinner, eat separate to take turns with the kids, lose time together because of work and life? I encourage you to use this day to order a new dress, put on some makeup, hire a babysitter if you have kids, and enjoy a nice meal between the two of you!
  3. Murder Mystery Train.๐Ÿš‚ Looking for something different besides dinner? Dress up as a character all aboard your location’s express and help solve a crazy mystery over the course of dinner. Maybe you’re the killer!
  4. Comedy Dinner Show.๐ŸŽญ Nothing pairs perfectly with love like laughter.
  5. Take out on the beach. Grab a blanket, a candle, some wine and an order-to-go just in time to watch the sunset on the beach, on a mountain, or over a lake.
  6. Catch a Drive-In Movie.๐ŸŽฅ Take a trip to the big screen and stay in your car. Grab some popcorn๐Ÿฟ, a soda, and your favorite hot dogs and enjoy a show under the stars.๐ŸŒ

We can celebrate holidays on various days and not on the actual days they fall on, and that’s OKAY! Does it encourage more time to schedule multiple dinners with friends, and your partner and possibly some self-care time in-between? Yes, but February is the month of love.โค๏ธ The world needs more of it ๐Ÿ™‚

Education Corner: Why do we celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Almost every holiday I am realizing that I really don’t know how they originated. So, welcome to my educational corner!

Valentine’s Day originated as a Christian feast day honoring a early Christian martyrs named Saint Valentine. Overtime, as folklore progressed through the ages, the day, Valentine’s Day, became a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many regions of the world.

Plus social media has introduced many new traditions like Galantine’s Day, the ultimate self-love day, or a day men consider “a day off.” ๐Ÿ’—
