Thanksgiving🦃, Black Friday🖤✨, Book of the Month📚, Traveling for Christmas🖤
We hope everyone had an amazing time with your families this past Thanksgiving! Ours was filled with family, laughs, good food and the Cowboys crushing the Commanders 45-10, woo-hoo!🏈
You either LOVE or strongly dislike Thanksgiving. I really want to normalize not enjoying holidays others love. There’s nothing wrong with you if you’re on the negative side. Since Covid kept us locked up in our house for a year, we are all still living through the immediate social effects this time had on us as a whole. If Thanksgiving isn’t your speed because too many people at once stress you out, or coordination isn’t your thing that’s ok! If this time is hard for you because you are missing a loved one, my heart goes out to you.
Black Friday📦 just passed and I am ECSTATIC about my Aerie pajamas and mini Ugg boots (that are lowkey taking forever to come in the mail), but patience is a virtue, right?! I always go back and forth about making a video about what I got, because who cares about what I got other than me…but I create content to look back on it later. It’s for me, really. Hmm, stay tuned…
…in college, I worked at Aerie because my go-to style is comfy-cute. No one does it better than Aerie, and college was THE TIME to work there, because I would wear those clothes to class daily. Once you graduate and start working the new challenge of needing nicer clothes arises, but they’re all so expensive, and it’s a hassle spending your paycheck on professional clothes…I’m going down a rabbit hole, but working from home is the blessing I never knew I needed. My point is now, I can continue to dress comfy-cozy at home and it really puts me into a work driven mindset.👩🏻💻
Traveling For The Holidays🎅🏼
This Christmas we’re going to Charlotte, North Carolina. We can’t wait to bundle up in our winter jackets and enjoy the cooler weather. Florida is nice and warm year round, but nothing beats the cool, crisp air around the holidays. So, we’re packing up the dog, and grabbing our beanies.☃️ Traveling for Christmas has recently become a staple in our little family. Do you guys travel for Christmas? Have you ever traveled somewhere family is not and enjoyed a getaway?
Last year, we had an amazing Christmas getaway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It actually snowed on Christmas day! Read about our trip and itinerary from last year, A White Christmas on Tennessee’s Mountain: A Holiday Adventure. Side note, I highly recommend getting cabin photos done📸

A Week In Our Life: Around the Holidays
Upcoming In 2024 For Us
TRAVEL! Oh my goodness, we somehow have so many trips on the calendar. I know the trips will be enjoyable, but everything is so expensive now! Luckily, nothing is paid for and if we need to cancel a trip I can cancel our reservations prior to the trip. ✨Travel Tip✨ Mark your calendars for where and when you want to go! We do this constantly, make the hotel reservations, we use Marriott Hotels, and book car rentals through National Car Rentals. This way, we are able to cancel up to 48 hours prior to our trips, free of charge. Get ready, we’re taking you with us to the Ozarks, Charlotte, Washington D.C., and a Florida beach getaway.
One goal of mine is to get back into running🏃🏻♀️. I used to run half marathons a lot. I’ve already signed up for the Hot Chocolate Run, mainly because I’m obsessed with collecting the medals, but whatever gets me working out again. It’s hard to say I will be in the gym as much as I’d like too, life gets so crazy, and I get lazy. But, I should be able to manage a few runs during the week. I track them with my Garmin, which definitely encourages me to run. I love seeing my activity.
What are your goals for 2024? I want to hear them!
