June: Things to Do, the Sun Kissed Glow, and Baseball

Helloooo June🌺 Summer is here, the gardens are full, there’s happiness in the air, ice cream in our hands, we’re in the sun, and we’re all dressing in brighter colors. If you’re a sun junkie, it’s time to solidify those tan lines and if you’re not, then it’s time to start a new hobby or get into a productive routine for the summer. Here are some new hobbies and activities to try this month.

“Sun Kissed” Glowy Make-up

The appeal of sun kissed skin is that it makes us look like we’ve spent hours in the sun on the beach or by the pool. This look is achievable by various products, and one way to really enhance it is by applying a bright blush color. Unlike the winter, we’re always looking for a way to achieve the most natural sun kissed look without wearing a ton of makeup. Here’s one way to accomplish your best sun kissed glowy look:

  1. Clean your skin. Having a great skin care routine will help keep your pores unclogged and from breaking out.
  2. Give the foundation a break and try tinted moisturizer, or tinted sunscreen. Can’t go without your foundation but want something thinner? Tinted sunscreen is a great option.
  3. Apply a cream bronzer. Cream bronzer blend in well with tinted sunscreens similar to foundation.
  4. Apply a pink blush. If you haven’t tried liquid blush, you’re missing out on the perfect sun kissed complexion.
  5. Don’t forget your mascara!

Products I’ve been loving this Summer☀️

I swear by Tula’s sunscreen + glow, my face feels clean and gives off the perfect glow. Since living in Florida, I’ve really switched to not wearing as much makeup and really focusing on loving my skin and protecting it daily. Now that we’re back in North Carolina I might look into a foundation base everyday look – but during the summer these products have been my go-to’s!

Baseball Dates

Baseball games are a summer staple in my family. I grew up going to baseball games every Friday night during the summer and on the 4th of July.🎆 They can

They’re great for getting out of the house with or without kids, a fun family event, a cheap summer date night, and they usually end with fireworks in the sky. The commentary in-between innings is entertaining and the beer is always cold. You can either dress casual or sporty and find the perfect outfit for a hot summer night. Check out your local baseball team, grab some popcorn, a hotdog, and beer.

Did you Know?

The name June came from the Roman goddess Juno who was the goddess of marriage, childbirth, and love.
