MOTIVATION TO KEEP WORKING OUT

Working out all the time is hard! Our schedules can get so busy it’s hard to find the time to fit in a good workout. Getting a daily workout in can really take a toll on our mental health if we are constantly dreading it. Let’s stay motivated to work out, and share our fitness journey’s together. I want to go ahead and say routine, routine, routine.

Creating a Routine Isn’t Easy

Routines come in different shapes and sizes, and mold to fit you best overtime. When you first think, “I want to get into a routine” you may get inspiration from influencers online, but their routine is not your routine. We can start off by following their routine, but over time you will find what works best – molding your routine to you will bring out the best version of you.❤️

Routine’s are easy to maintain, but can be difficult to begin and mold. Don’t think you are a failure because you can’t stick to a routine in the beginning. Give your body and mind time to adjust to a routine, keep it simple, and enjoy taking care of your body. Use this time to explore different options, try new foods, or workout groups.

Why Can I Not Get My Booty to The Gym?!🍑

The hardest part about working out is taking that first step through the door. When starting a new routine (or continuing a consistent one) that includes going to the gym, we can find that pushing ourselves to engage in the same activity ALL the time can feel like a chore…and honestly it is. Taking care of our bodies requires us to check mark that box✔️! Some days we’re going to feel pumped to workout, sore from the day before, or too tired to even think about leaving the house. This is normal. Get your mind right, try something different:

  1. Change your routine. Go on a walk or run, try a fitness class, or lookup an online workout to follow.
  2. Try pre-workout. Need some caffeine? Take a scoop of pre-work, or eat some candy.
  3. Force a friend to workout with you. Misery loves company 😉 Get those gains together!
  4. Virtual Yoga and Stretch. Move the furniture out of the way and get your downward dog on!🪷

Don’t forget that you must listen to your body🎧! Some days, we may need that nap after work, to push our schedules to the left or right, and always push ourselves to tackle that work-life balance. We’re all human and nobody is expecting us to be perfect. Remember to drink water and to meal prep lunch and snacks.

If you are finding that you don’t want to workout, I recommend changing your workout, finding a cute new workout set, and getting a new water bottle. These always help uplift my mood and restart my motivation!
