Wrapping up the year – What to leave behind in 2023 and look forward too in 2024!⭐ New Year’s Eve Plans🎆
✨It is time to enter the productive girl era. Recently, I’ve been thinking about is how the year is ending and I miss the habits I used to have, my house looks crazy, I feel bloated, unmotivated, and am constantly critiquing myself.
Yesterday was the first day I went to yoga in MONTHS. It felt amazing, it made me feel amazing, I walked across the street and grabbed a coffee right after and instead of feeling relaxed and ready to take on my day – I felt SAD because I had allowed myself to get to a point in my life where I stopped doing the things that I enjoyed doing.
December is the month of reflection and even change. Everyone is thinking about what their year, what they liked and didn’t like, and believe it or not most of us are doing the same things. We’re cleaning up our lives.
2023 was so amazing for my family. My husband and I bought a house, were able to travel, host multiple holiday parties, and build new relationships with all of our friends and family. But, during this time I had also been stressed about my career, starting my blog, worrying about what others were going to think of me, and all these little thoughts holding me back from being happy.
This year was productive on paper, but I increased my drinking, decreased my time in the gym, moved further away from the city and missed the shops, coffee, and workout spaces everywhere. I started working from home, and found the pros and cons of adjusting to a new lifestyle.
What am I changing in my life?
Group Fitness. Well, I’m starting yoga again! I’ve been looking at the yoga classes in my area and they are crazy expensive, but I have a mat at home, so I will be starting a flow through Youtube most days. For a while, I have wanted to try aerial yoga, and am considering this might be the new hobby I learn for the new year. There’s also Orange Theory, Pure Bare, and Cycle bar…any suggestions on these?
Saying No. I think this is a yearly change. Every year we learn to say no to new and different things. Do not let anyone or any event come in-between you and your mental health. Find ways to control the stress you feel by saying no. Give yourself the time you need to live your life the way you want too.
Setting a Routine. I need to start drinking my AG1, having my daily protein shakes, practicing stress-relieving activities’ like reading more and schedule dinners with my girl friends! Stay tuned while I establish a morning + night time skincare and hair care routine.
Investing in Relationships. I’d really like to focus more on building relationships through books, journalism, spiritualism, and good conversations. It’s fun to go out to a cocktail bar every once and a while, but not with the way prices are looking.
Be the change you want to see.⭐ No one is going to change anything in your life for you! You have to be the one that pushes and welcomes change.
Also, you don’t need anyone to join you in your new year. Take a risk, go to the gym or new studio by yourself 😉
